Connect 2025, the RedSail Technologies User Conference, has officially wrapped! For the first time, BestRx customers joined together with all RedSail Technologies brands (PioneerRx, NRx, PrimeCare, and more) to master their current technology, explore new features/enhancements, and learn more about the latest trends within the industry.
Amongst general business classes and informative panels featuring community pharmacy experts, Connect 2025 also offered a BestRx course track—featuring 10 unique in-depth classes on how to best utilize the platform.
BestRx was created to streamline workflows and make administrative tasks easier so pharmacists can focus on their clinical work. Here are the top 5 things we learned to ensure you’re working smarter, not harder.
A pharmacy’s role in providing healthcare services continues to evolve, with many pharmacists now providing services like point-of-care screenings and vaccinations. In fact, in 2020 and 2021, pharmacists provided more recommended routine vaccinations than physicians.
It’s important your pharmacy gets reimbursed for these crucial services. Many insurance companies are paying additional fees for administering vaccinations. Within the BestRx software, be sure to enter an amount in the Incentive Fee or Administrative Fee when transmitting these claims to bill the insurance for these services.
What’s your process for handling DUR rejections? We know when a claim is denied by an insurance company, the additional effort for a pharmacy to get it approved can be taxing.
To make things smoother, you can set up default DUR codes, even at the drug level, so it can be automatically added with the prescription. In addition, if a DUR claim gets rejected, you can easily edit from the rejected screen and resubmit straight for approval.
A new BestRx tool, Forms + Scheduler, provides pharmacies quick and easy form templates to share with patients to make appointments. Through the BestRx web portal, appointment forms can be created and immediately sent out to patients—all while syncing to the software so patient profiles and queues stay up to date.
Independent pharmacies deserve the flexibility to choose what works best for them: locally installed software or a cloud-hosted solution.
And while there are benefits to both, when pharmacies are on the cloud, they have the option to access Central Reporting.
BestRx’s Central Reporting feature offers pharmacy owners and managers a dashboard with reports across all locations. Reports can be generated for each pharmacy individually or compiled to show data from any subset of your locations. And you can access these reports from an online portal at any time or any place in the world.
Fifth and finally, BestRx’s Rx Location Management feature helps track and organize prescriptions by specifying exactly where each Rx is stored in the pharmacy. Whether you store Rxs in shelves, baskets, counters, or the fridge, you can easily track each Rx and automatically assign a location before an Rx gets added to a queue.
Simply head to the Workflow Tab > Rx Location Management to get started.
Connect 2025’s BestRx course track highlighted a variety of little-known tools amongst customers to help users better utilize their platform and maximize value. Need help incorporating these strategies into your pharmacy? Reach out to BestRx at (877)-777-5758.
